Pathways to Permanent Residency (PR)

  • Skilled Independent visa - PR (Subclass 885)
      • Skilled independent residence visa (subclass 885) is one of the most common pathways to Permanent Residency (PR) for International students who have obtained an Australian qualification as a result of at least two years study in Australia. Applicants do not need sponsorship to apply for this visa, but you must pass a point test and meet the following primary criteria:

        • Score 120 points for the point test.
        • Must be an overseas student or former overseas student.
        • Be in Australia at the time of application.
        • Apply within six months of completion of two years study.
        • Be under 45 years of age at the time of lodging the application.
        • Have the qualification that is listed on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) for the immigration purpose.
        • Obtain successful skills assessment for your qualification and work experience.
        • Have good English language skills.
        • Be of good character.
        • Have good health.
